Prioritising Applications

The Council uses a banding scheme that shows what priority people applying for council housing have and which properties they will have a chance of getting. Each application for housing is assessed and placed in one of seven bands.

Each band contains all the applications with similar levels of housing need. Priority within each band is generally given to the applications that have been in that level of need for the longest time. There are seven bands in the scheme.
